Education and Professional Experience

Helping others is my passion, and my approach to therapy is integrative. By integrating elements of different therapeutic techniques, I am able to establish a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to the needs and experiences of each individual client. My approach is based on an emphasis on fostering a sense of hope and healing through holistic, spiritual, and other therapeutic approaches. I embrace the belief that establishing a safe and healthy therapeutic relationship is key to collaborating and empowering you to overcome obstacles, enhance self-awareness, and improve your relationships, ultimately leading to a sense of health and wellbeing.

I specialize in college students and adults experiencing a lack of direction, relationship concerns, grief, spiritual issues, or anxiety.

I completed my Masters and Specialist degrees from the Licensed Professional Counseling graduate program at Liberty University. I am completing my hours towards licensure and am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. Furthermore, I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Saint Leo University and my Associates of Science degree at Santa Fe College in Dental Hygiene. My experience working as a dental hygienist and teaching for Santa Fe College as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor has given me the opportunity to acquire an excellent track record of providing high-quality patient care. I have had the opportunity of working with youth, and their parents, caregivers, or siblings, to help reduce behavioral issues and improve living situations for everyone involved.

Approach to Wellness

I am passionate about the pursuit of living life to its fullest and finding the silver lining in even the most challenging of circumstances. I believe it is important to release old, painful baggage such as worry, guilt, remorse, and failure, so that balance can be restored while finding new experiences of joy and freedom. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and fur baby, relaxing in the sauna, going to the beach, attending church, and being outdoors. I find comfort in cooking and baking, and I particularly enjoy making casseroles and holiday desserts to relieve stress.
Cathy is currently completing hours towards licensure and is supervised by Jennifer Martin, Ph.D. Her sessions are not eligible for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
