Education and Professional Experience
I am passionate about helping others and am integrative in my approach to therapy. I employ elements from a range of therapeutic techniques, with a goal of establishing a treatment plan that is personally tailored to meet the needs and experience of each particular client. My approach is based on promoting a sense of hope and healing through holistic, spiritual and other various therapeutic orientations. I embrace the belief that through a healthy therapeutic relationship, we can collaborate together to help you feel empowered to move through obstacles, thus improving self-awareness, relationships, and ultimately enjoy a sense of health and well-being.
I completed my Masters and Specialist degrees from the Licensed Professional Counseling graduate program at Liberty University. I am completing my hours towards licensure and am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Saint Leo University, and my Associates of Science degree at Santa Fe College in Dental Hygiene. My experience working as a dental hygienist and teaching for Santa Fe College as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor has given me the opportunity to acquire an excellent track record of providing high-quality patient care. I have had the opportunity of working with youth, and their parents, caregivers or siblings, to help reduce behavioral issues and improve living situations for everyone involved.
Approach to Wellness
I am passionate about living life to its fullest and finding the silver lining in even the most challenging of circumstances. I believe it is important to release any painful baggage of the past like worry, guilt, remorse, and failure so that balance can be found, while re-discovering joy and feeling FREE AGAIN! I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and fur baby, relaxing in the sauna, going to the beach, church service and being outdoors. My stress reliever is cooking and baking, especially casseroles and holiday desserts.
