Education and Professional Experience
I am proud to work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor at Sage Wellness. I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Dakota. My professional experience includes providing treatment in a variety of settings: school-based counseling and residential treatment for children and adolescents; individual, couples and group therapy in adult outpatient mental health; individual and family therapy in a children’s mental health clinic; and substance abuse treatment. I am especially passionate about empowering individuals who’ve experienced trauma to heal and thrive which led me to complete additional training and certification through the Global Trauma Recovery Institute. I also enjoy helping couples learn ways to nurture their relationship, and am a Gottman trained therapist.

Life is a continuous journey of setback and growth, which can include painful life experiences and transitions, depression or anxiety. I love supporting people of ALL ages and backgrounds who feel lost and hurting to find their inner strength and purpose. Meaningful connection is essential to well-being and I am passionate about providing a transformative space for who feel hurt and misunderstood, to cultivate a sense of safety and connection again. Approach to Wellness
As a therapist, it is my personal and professional responsibility and privilege to tend to my own wellness. Nurturing my connection with family and friends is vital in keeping me healthy. I prioritize making time for activities I enjoy: barre classes, attending church, watching live sports, and beach days with my dog, Fenway. Self-care takes practice and I believe balance is the key to sustaining wellness. Sometimes my self-care means saying “next time!” to an invitation and recharging at home with my favorite snacks and a good show.
