Education and Professional Experience
After completing my undergraduate degree at The University of Tennessee, I completed my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. I began my clinical experience in a university setting where I worked with college aged clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and identity exploration. I primarily use techniques and interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person Centered Therapy models. I strive to create an environment and relationship where my clients feel fully heard, safe, and supported. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort where we work together to make the changes that you want and be the best version of your authentic self. I view my role as a guide to help you with your therapeutic goals. Together, we will find the best approach for you, and use that to meet your goals.
Approach to Wellness
I am a big believer in practicing mindfulness and being in tune with your mind and body. When life gets busy, I try to carve out time to enjoy playing video games, watching movies, going fishing, or trying out a new recipe. Taking time to enjoy my hobbies allows me to feel better connected to myself and mentally refreshes me.
