Who I help

You’ve been struggling with your relationships and it’s taken a toll. Your romantic partner feels like a roommate, you have trouble managing your children, or argue with people you love. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing stress and conflict in their life. My expertise includes helping those who have trouble managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, anger, addiction and trauma. In your relationship, I can help you work through the complexities of divorce, infidelity, codependency and domestic violence. Together we will discuss and implement coping and communication skills that help you create a healthier life where you can achieve more happiness and satisfying relationships.

Why I can help you

I personally know how important therapy is because of the personal therapy I have experienced, and the radical positive changes it had in my life. I subsequently sought training in the field of counseling to pay forward the benefits I received. I am passionate about helping others make a positive difference in their lives because I know therapy works. Working together with a therapist that you connect with and believe in, is something that I find to be one of the most important ways to get the most out of therapy. Therapy is a collaborative effort between us, and I utilize an honest and bold approach in supporting you. I’ve been told that I am easy to talk to and help you feel comfortable being yourself when we are together. I am flexible in using tools that best support you, and often use these methods: Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused. My comprehensive training and experience have taught me how to help clients with complex circumstances overcome the most difficult situations of their lives. I look forward to working as a team to figure out new ways to improve your life and regain personal freedom and peace.

Education and Professional Experience

I have had the privilege of providing therapy for over 9 years. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2013. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer, and integrate my expertise in building motivation and achieving goals into our work together. I have worked in a variety of different settings from residential addiction treatment centers to private practice. I have enjoyed leading hundreds of therapy and psychoeducational groups, such as 12 step, anger management and self esteem groups.

Approach to Wellness

Living a balanced, healthy life is something that I strive for daily. I like to lead by example and I try to practice what I preach. Family and fitness are a big part of my life. My self care includes weight training, biking, running, reading and guided meditation. My greatest passion is spending time with my beautiful wife and our two wonderful children. We always do things together as a family, such as going to the park or beach, watching a movie together, or having fun dance parties.
