Education and Professional Experience

I am a proud Gator having completed my Masters, Specialist, and Bachelor’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Psychology from the University of Florida. (Go Gators!) I have experience providing therapy to individuals in both in and outpatient settings. I specialize in helping adolescents and adults who are experiencing symptoms of low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, fear, and anger. I support clients in working through challenges in their relationships, past traumatic experiences, life stress, and identity exploration. I also enjoy working with clients who identify as  LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC.

I counsel from a multicultural, person-centered approach with cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness interventions. I provide an affirming environment for you to explore your concerns, identify and utilize your strengths, develop more helpful thinking patterns, learn coping skills, and experience tangible growth. In therapy, I am sensitive to the barriers and unique experiences arising from your various identities, including race, gender, sexuality, or ability. Therapy is your time to focus on yourself and we collaborate together to make it meaningful and helpful. Together, we will identify your therapeutic goals and tailor a treatment plan specifically to meet your needs. It would be an honor to join you on your journey towards healing and wellness.

Approach to Wellness

I am committed to creating a life I am excited to wake up to. I try to look for the positives and appreciate what life has to offer. Every day, I set aside time for mindfulness and to write in my gratitude journal. Practicing acceptance is also essential to my well-being. Some things that bring me joy are the beach, hiking a nature trail with my two dogs, laughing, biking with friends, attempting to rollerblade, eating sushi, playing board games, and crafting. For me, a big part of wellness is being connected to myself, others, and the world.
