Education and Professional Experience

I have been passionate about health and wellness since I was in high school, when I struggled with anxiety, which led to my own journey with health and well-being. During that time, my passion shifted to helping others with their health and wellness.

I graduated from UF in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. As a student, I worked at GatorWell Health Promotion Services, assisting college students with the tools they needed to achieve their wellness goals. I was also an Athletic Training Intern for the UF football team. After graduation, I became a Rehab Technician for those injured in car accidents; performing and teaching exercises to aid in their recovery process. Most recently, I was the Operations Manager for the Gainesville Health and Fitness Women’s Center.

Approach to Wellness

For me, wellness is all about finding a balance in my life. I believe life is meant to be enjoyed and I strive to live life to the fullest. I enjoy exploring and traveling, photography, Gator and other sporting events, and spending time with family. Since college, my life has been mostly all work and no play. I felt my life was off balance and have recently rediscovered myself and my passions.

I am a believer in the holistic approach to wellness. It encompasses so many dimensions of life, including social, spiritual, occupational, financial, environmental, physical, emotional, and intellectual. I am a believer in this approach because it has helped me and I’ve seen it help others. Wellness is so much more than our medical health and when practiced correctly, can make a huge impact on our life.
