Professional and Educational Experience

I attended the University of Florida, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. During my time at UF, I worked in several research labs focused on Alzheimer’s disease, substance use, and related areas. I later attended Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, where I earned a master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy.

Through my clinical internships, I gained experience in psychiatric, private practice, and school settings. I have worked with teens and their families, as well as adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, identity-related issues, and suicidal thoughts.

Approach to Counseling

Therapy is a unique and collaborative journey, tailored to the individual needs of each client. Every session is different, and every therapy experience is unique. Because of this, I remain curious and flexible, always taking into account the preferences and goals of my clients.

My approach is relational and rooted in the belief that our experiences with those around us—whether society, family, friends, or others—shape who we are and how we show up in the world. Life can be overwhelming and may leave us feeling alone, sad, angry, betrayed, joyful, guilty, or sometimes all of these at once. You are the expert of your own life, and you deserve to move at your own pace.

When something isn’t working for you, we’ll work together to find something that does. Whether you’re feeling stuck and unsure of your next steps, working toward a goal and seeking accountability, or simply looking for a space where you don’t have to feel alone, I am here to walk alongside you.

Approach to Wellness

For me, wellness means giving myself grace while navigating the complexities of life. It’s understanding that two seemingly opposite things can be true at the same time. Wellness is showing compassion toward even the most hidden or complex parts of myself, recognizing that fears, regrets, and self-criticism can exist alongside laughter, gratitude, and growth.

Wellness also means slowing down and asking, “What do I need right now?”—separate from the expectations of others—and allowing myself to respond with care. I express myself creatively through painting and drawing, playing the piano, and staying active through soccer. I’m learning Spanish and hope to learn additional languages, and I’m interested in dancing and traveling more. Most importantly, I value laughter and being playful with the people I love.
